Automated Infrastructure

NDP has experience in designing, developing and deploying infrastructure for large scale and global satellite ground segments, both on premises and in the cloud.

Whether private, public, or hybrid, NDP incorporates automation as an intrinsic design principle into our solutions and platforms. We understand that flexible and reconfigurable systems are effective for most modern programs only when reconfiguration is achievable in seconds to minutes. We have implemented software automation into the design, development, testing, deployment, operations, and upgrades/maintenance of our ground station designs. This includes automated, tailorable provisioning for: hypervisors, operating systems, audit/logging services, identity management services, monitoring services, and configuration management services all with fully integrated security hardening and compliance. NDP has been and continues to be an integral part of the engineering effort that designed and delivered a flexible, scalable, resilient and secure service-oriented enterprise system architecture capable of supporting multiple disparate tools and applications and the ability to operate in offline, near-real-time, and real-time (mission critical and non-mission critical) mission modes.

Our automation focus extends to the development of solutions for rapid application provisioning, to include container-based app deployment. Under an ongoing contract with the Air Force, NDP is delivering a prototype solution for secure container-based app deployment, orchestration, and lifecycle management to a remote sensing lab. This capability can be used to facilitate rapid activation and scaling of applications and services, and to quickly promote container-based apps through environments from development to operations.
