The NOMS platform is a middleware framework that makes it easier to deliver remote sensing data from any source to any device. NOMS provides open standard messaging, lowering the bar of entry for data exploitation, increasing the pace of modernization, and enabling funding to be focused on innovation and not duplicating infrastructure. NOMS is a non-disruptive, low-cost open source and standards-based solution that is simple to integrate and delivers actionable data directly to downstream users.

Supports backward compatible data encoding to decouple upgrades and permit non-disruptive enhancements. Allowing your user community to upgrade (if desired) at their own pace on their own schedule.

Data Sanitization

Near real-time service that utilizes a series of pre-defined and user-defined algorithms to sanitize or declassify GEOINT messages.

Network Security

Support for authenticated and encrypted (Type 3) connections, including PKI, SASL as well as access control lists (ACLs). Integrates easily in Multi-Level Security (MLS) environments, streamlining Certification and Accreditation (C&A)/ Assessment and Authorization (A&A).

Modular Decoupled Architecture

Allows existing or legacy systems to rapidly adopt or transition to open standards. Modules include – NOMS™ Connectors, NOMS™ Message Distribution Node, NOMS™ Gateways and NOMS™ Archiver.

  • NOMS Connectors: Receives binary/proprietary data via legacy sources and converts it into open source messages using a common logical data model and common protocol
  • NOMS Sanitization: Sanitizes messages per program classification guidance by manipulating data masks, data accuracy, release timing, etc. Forwards sanitized messages to a cross-domain solution for release on unclassified networks or to restricted coalition partners.
  • NOMS Data Distribution: Provides distributed data dissemination on IP networks using Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP), an open standard application layer protocol. NOMS Data Distribution also provides transaction management, security, management, clustering, and federation.
  • NOMS Gateways: NOMS Gateways, typically regionally located, take Google Protocol Buffer messages and, if necessary, translate them into a wide variety of formats for end-user devices, such as SMS text, Keyhole Markup Language (KML) for visualization on 3D earth browsers, and IRC chat.
